Support Removing Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House
To: Rep. McBride
From: A constituent in Claymont, DE
December 4
I am writing to urge you to support removing Mike Johnson from his position as Speaker of the House. The current leadership crisis is preventing Congress from functioning effectively and advancing legislation that has broad support.
Speaker Johnson has kept the House out of session for nearly two months while failing to advance widely supported bills. His own leadership team member, Rep. Elise Stefanik, publicly called him a political novice in The Wall Street Journal and predicted that the majority of Republicans would vote for new leadership. When a member of your own leadership team makes such a damning assessment, it signals a fundamental breakdown in confidence.
The American people deserve a Speaker who can unite the caucus and move legislation forward. I urge you to support a leadership change that will restore functionality to the House of Representatives.
