Your Weekly Reminder: Stand Up for Your Constituents
To: Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
August 25
Consider this your weekly reminder: your constituents are watching, and we will remember what you choose to do during this administration.
You cannot continue to sit on the sidelines while Russell Vought and this administration systematically undermine federal agencies, destroy the federal workforce, and create an environment of fear and trauma for the people who keep our government functioning.
Federal employees are your constituents too. They deserve representation, protection, and a member of Congress who is willing to stand up for them when their jobs, livelihoods, and basic rights are under attack.
Instead, we continue to watch this administration dismantle agencies, attack federal employees, disregard the consequences of its actions, and undermine the institutions that serve the American people. And you continue to sit by.
That is not leadership.
So here is your weekly reminder: stand up for your constituents. Stand up for federal employees. Stand up to Russell Vought. Stand up to this administration when it is doing harm.
You want your constituents to believe that you care about them? Then show us.
Because if you continue to remain silent while our government is being dismantled and federal employees are being traumatized and treated as disposable, do not expect your constituents to forget it when election time comes.
If you care about keeping your seat, start acting like you care about the people who put you there.
And if you do not care about your constituents, that is your choice.
But understand this: you will not be reelected.
We are paying attention. We are keeping track. And silence is a choice.
