Poe Springs is a warning, please save our aquifer!

To: Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott, Rep. Cammack

From: A verified voter in Gainesville, FL

July 18

Poe Springs in Alachua County, Florida has lost critical pressure; the public park is closed, it is suffering an algae bloom. This is a warning we need to recognize and act upon! Please help us to conserve our precious and limited water, please fight Nestle USA, Zephyr Hills water, and others’ depletion of our precious drinking aquifer. Not only are they stealing recreational opportunities, they are stealing some of our most special land and OUR DRINKING WATER. Water access, availability, and safety is a bi-partisan issue. Please, please, please help us to defend our water from private interests. Change laws if you have to, buy back land — whatever it takes. Water is life; please save us!
