I am urging you not to pass the FY 2025 Budget Resolution put forth by the House Budget Committee. The proposed budget blueprint aims to drastically cut spending on crucial programs that support Americans' well-being, such as healthcare, education, and social safety nets. The Committee's own analysis reveals that this budget would increase the deficit by $3.8 trillion over the next decade, adding to the already staggering national debt. Such fiscal irresponsibility jeopardizes our country's long-term economic stability and burdens future generations with unsustainable debt levels. Rather than pursuing draconian cuts that harm vulnerable communities, we should seek a balanced approach that promotes economic growth, invests in our future, and ensures a strong social safety net. A responsible budget should prioritize the well-being of all Americans, not just the privileged few.
