Regarding your vote to keep the government open. Respectfully, I completely disagree with your choice. How many times have the Republicans proven that they are not trustworthy? MANY! Donald Trump has been firing thousands of federal workers. So that he's including that threat now is a moot point. Donald Trump has already been randomly holding back funding, so that threat is pointless, as well. So, Senator King, what hope do you have that siding with the Republicans by voting for THEIR UN-NEGOTIATED continuing resolution will cause a different outcome?! I’m sure you know the saying, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." It’s time to stop allowing Donald Trump, his administration, and the Republicans in Congress to bully Democrats and Independents into submission based on lies and manipulation. As difficult as it is to accept, civil Statesmanship does not currently exist. Without lowering ourselves to that level one must stand tall and firm for the Constitutional mechanisms that have made our government the functional democratic success it’s been thus far. It's far beyond the point at which Democrats and their Independent allies in Congress take a hardline stand against the GOP and Donald Trump! THAT'S what would be in your constituent's, and the country's, best interest!!!
