The repeated cutting of many the Congressional mandated programs in the middle of a fiscal year is illegal and an extraordinary abuse of power by Trump, and it needs to be challenged on every front. FULL NIH funding for biomedical research needs to be restored as well as reversing all the other cuts Trump is making. We have to communicate widely what our fight is about. At Sen. Kim’s suggestion, maybe Democrats should refuse to lift one damn finger to help the GOP pass its budget or lift the debt ceiling… unless the White House backs off of its attempts to shut off the money and furlough government workers.
