I urge you to oppose S. 1462, the Fix Our Forests Act. This act increases logging and other destructive practices in the guise of preventing property damaging wildfires. Recent studies have shown that these practices do not prevent property destruction and are damaging to the forests. Instead, please support S. 3609, the Community Protection and Wildfire Resilience Act. This act prioritizes home hardening, defensible space, and other actions that have been shown to save lives and property.
