It appears that the majority in OUR Congress has forgotten our history. By history, I mean the suffering that the citizens if this country suffered before protections and the agencies that oversee them were enacted. Our congress is proposing HR861 to terminate the EPA. Before the EPA, our rivers were on fire, fish suffered mass die-offs, WE were poisoned by chemicals dumped willy-nilly, and finding safe grounds for hunting, fishing, hiking, and more was difficult. VOTE NO because your constituents don't want to go back to that. OUR Congress is also proposing to destroy OUR public education system. Education for the poor, for disabled students, and minorities was either non-existent or low quality before the Department of Education came along to make it available to ALL OF US. VOTE NO on HR 610 and HR 899 if you, like US, believe in quality education for everyone, not just the wealthy. OUR Congress also appears to want us to hurry up and die. The Affordable Care Act made it possible for children to stay on their parents healthcare until they secured jobs that provided it. When those jobs didn't, the affordable care act allowed anyone from small business owners like me to underemployed people to access fair markets from which to purchase AFFORDABLE insurance. Without the ACA, businesses will die, people will die. If you are PRO-LIFE, you will vote NO on HR 370, HR 354, and HR 147. The last 2 will make it safer for women to get pregnant and carry healthy babies to term. OUR Congress also apparently believes WE don't deserve workplace rights or safety. Because you want people to die at work? Because you don't want people to have a fair and balanced power dynamic at work? VOTE NO on HR 785 for the benefit of OUR country and its valuable labor resource. Lastly, OUR Congress wants states to pay for hunting down people in this country illegally? Then pay for it! Our police resources are already overburdened and undertrained. VOTE NO on HR 83 and do better.
