As a constituent, I’m emailing to say that I’m counting on you to continue backing the original bipartisan government funding deal and not bail out Republicans who are pandering to Elon Musk. If the Republican majority cannot pass the Musk/Trump bill on their own, it certainly is not up to the Democrats to swoop in and save them by giving in to a heinous MAGA - drafted bill. Doing so would cut vital programs and set a terrible precedent as we head into the Trump presidency. Any bill that gets your vote must reflect Democratic values. I expect you to stay strong and hold the line, not rescue Republicans from their own chaos.
