**Dear Vice President Harris,**
I’m writing to express my thoughts following your recent debate performance. While I was impressed with your composure and ability to articulate important issues, I am deeply troubled by your stance on the genocide occuring in Palestine at the hands of Israel with the financial and ballistic support of your administration.
I will be voting third party unless your administration takes immediate and decisive action to end the ongoing genocide in Palestine. It is deeply offensive to hear you claim that you serve the public when over 60% of Americans, including over 70% of Democrats, oppose sending arms to Israel. Your disregard for these overwhelming voices is not reflective of true public service.
Furthermore, I found your reference to the U.S. military as the “most lethal” in the world to be particularly disturbing. "Lethal" equates to death, and I do not want anyone, anywhere, to die in the name of my protection. We must aim for a world where no one has to die in service of security or foreign policy.
This upcoming election should be highly winnable for your administration, but your stance on this issue risks losing the support of many voters. If your policies do not shift toward ending the violence, protecting civilian lives, and prioritizing the rebuilding of Gaza, I cannot in good conscience support you. This is an opportunity to demonstrate true leadership by advocating for peace and the preservation of human life.
I urge you to reconsider your position and align your actions with the values of compassion and justice that so many of your supporters, myself included, are looking for.
