Prevent military intervention in civil protests, protect rights

To: Sen. Baldwin, Sen. Johnson, Rep. Grothman

From: A verified voter in Saukville, WI

June 10

Stop the President from getting the military involved in the protests in LA. Protect civil rights of all Americans. The deployment of active military forces to respond to civil unrest raises significant concerns about protecting constitutional rights and upholding democratic norms. I would urge you to work through established legal and political channels to address any grievances related to the protests. Resorting to military intervention against civilians risks escalating tensions and infringing on civil liberties. Instead, I recommend pursuing dialogue, de-escalation measures, and allowing peaceful protest rights to be exercised. Representatives should focus on addressing root issues through proper legislative and judicial means while protecting all citizens' rights to free speech and assembly. Ultimately, the situation calls for prudence, restraint, and adherence to the rule of law from all parties involved. I urge you to work diligently to find a resolution that upholds both law and order as well as constitutional protections for all Americans.
