While the administration has downplayed these issues as mere "formatting errors," the substance of the report is compromised if it relies on faulty or non-existent data. The public deserves transparency and accountability when it comes to the processes and tools used in developing policies that impact their lives. Therefore, I urge Congress to launch a thorough investigation into the use of AI in producing government reports and legislation. Safeguards must be put in place to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used in policymaking. Relying on AI tools without proper oversight and fact-checking could lead to disastrous consequences for the American people.
