Impeach and Imprison

To: Rep. Spartz, Sen. Banks, Sen. Young

From: A verified voter in Westfield, IN

April 15

I am writing as a citizen of Indiana to urge you to initiate and support impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States, and to support criminal referral for prosecution. The President has committed acts that exceed the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, including abuse of executive authority, obstruction of justice, and conduct incompatible with the office of the presidency. Of specific concern are the President’s manipulation of the financial markets through the strategic timing of policy announcements and public statements designed to move equity prices for the benefit of himself and his associates. These actions constitute potential violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including Section 9(a)(2) prohibiting market manipulation, Section 10(b) and SEC Rule 10b-5 prohibiting deceptive devices in connection with securities transactions, and Section 20(a) establishing controlling-person liability. The President has further engaged in financial self-dealing, including the use of advance knowledge of policy decisions to benefit private holdings, failure to divest from conflicting business interests, and acceptance of financial benefits from foreign and domestic entities in exchange for favorable government action. These acts may violate federal bribery statutes (18 U.S.C. § 201), the Emoluments Clauses, and federal wire fraud statutes (18 U.S.C. § 1343). I am asking you to support articles of impeachment, vote to convict if articles reach the Senate, support criminal referral to the Department of Justice for financial crimes and securities violations, and publicly call for an independent investigation into the President’s financial dealings and their intersection with official government acts. He is actively undermining our financial system. The real base of American power. No person is above the law. Your oath of office obligates you to defend the Constitution, not a political party. I expect you to act accordingly.
