Hands off Social Security. The average Social Security check is $2,000. 40% of Americans rely on Social Security as their only form of retirement income. If withdrawn, 22 million older adults will fall into poverty.  If you want to save the Social Security system, tax all income, not just the first $174,000. Most of us pay the Social Security tax on our entire income for our entire working lives. The rich can pay their fair share!
