I urge you to firmly reject any actions or displays that seek to lionize those who engaged in violence and insurrection on that fateful day. Our nation's strength lies in its institutions and the rule of law. Defending these principles against those who would undermine them through extremism is paramount. The citizens you represent deserve leaders who will steadfastly safeguard our democratic republic.
