You have put out a statement on the gunman in the Austin shooting, emphasizing his Muslim background and the fact that he gradually became a naturalized citizen, through our courts. This is a transparent attempt to create fear of foreigners in our midst. We are not stupid out here, which you might find out, if you were to have an honest conversation. Your screed against foreigners completely ignores evidence that this fellow might well have had mental health issues, perhaps untreated. You are so focused on making sure everyone in this country has at least one weapon that you fail to notice that we have countless mass shooting events that, taken together, are no accident. They are a direct result of lax gun laws and a cynical bid to enrich the gun lobby at the expense of all the rest of us. We see right through you. You could choose to see the basic problem represented by our Austin mass shooting, which is the gun lobby and lax gun laws, and you twist it into a ‘foreigner problem.’ You could show some morals and ethics and make a different choice here. I wish you would.
