Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Bill
To: Sen. Johnson
From: A constituent in Ephraim, WI
June 29
It is unacceptable to provide massive, permanent tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations while simultaneously gutting essential healthcare programs like Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. These proposed cuts would cause over 11 million hardworking Americans to lose their health coverage, jeopardizing their wellbeing and financial security. Furthermore, the gimmicks used to understate the staggering $4.2 trillion increase to the deficit reveal a callous disregard for fiscal responsibility, all to further enrich the top 1% at the expense of the most vulnerable. This reckless prioritization of profits over people is antithetical to the principles of a just society. I urge you to reject this exploitative legislation that overwhelmingly benefits the ultra-rich while devastating millions of ordinary citizens. A truly democratic government must work for the good of all its people, not solely the wealthy few.
