I know it is hard to keep up with the flow of dangerous executive orders coming from the executive branch but you can do your part by refusing to vote to appoint any cabinet picks. Specifically at this point Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense. As a sober alcoholic of 16+ years his behaviors are familiar to me. It would be wrong to put the pressure of this position on someone who has proven unable to achieve sobriety while working in the cushy non stress environment of Fox News. I make it a point not to care about other people’s journey with addiction unless it actively affects others. Pete Hegseth has shown that his addiction hurts others and it leaves him wildly unqualified to serve as an opponent in the game or Risk, let alone overseeing our troops who deserve better. Please vote no on his nomination knowing that you are doing the best thing for the people who cannot have a voice here.
