I am writing as your constituent to express my absolute opposition to the disturbing and unconstitutional idea reportedly floated by Steven Miller about the potential suspension of habeas corpus. Suspending habeas corpus without due cause is not only unconstitutional, but also un-American, and a direct attack on our civil liberties and democratic principles. Such rhetoric should be condemned immediately and forcefully. I urged you to publicly oppose any such move, call it what it is—dangerous authoritarianism—and ensure our government upholds the Constitution. Silence from our elected officials in times like this is complicity. Please stand for the rule of law.
