Get your act together NOW.
While you posture, fight, delay, and waste America’s time on cable news theatrics — real Americans are working without pay, exhausted, and keeping this country glued together by sheer force of duty.
Air traffic controllers are working up to double shifts, on skeleton staffing — for FREE.
In the 2018–2019 shutdown, the NATCA union warned that FAA controller staffing hit a 30-year low. One single sick-out in the New York TRACON (the critical hub covering Newark, LaGuardia, JFK) created nationwide flight slowdowns — within HOURS.
We are on the exact same road again.
TSA agents are working insane hours, also not being paid, also being told to “just manage it.”
During the last shutdown, TSA sick calls doubled at certain hubs, including ATL, DFW, IAH, and MIA. Lines were 90+ minutes in some major airports. TSA literally had to close security lanes in Miami.
We’re not talking about some hypothetical political talking point.
We’re talking about the people who keep metal tubes full of 200 strangers from slamming into each other at 600 mph — and the people who keep bombs, guns, and weapons off those planes — being asked to do it unpaid.
This Congress is manufacturing an airline safety crisis.
Your inaction is creating:
• dangerous fatigue at radar scopes
• overwhelmed checkpoints
• longer screening times
• suspended training pipelines
• and near-miss risk
You are playing chicken with the U.S. aviation safety net.
The least you could do — the absolute bare minimum — is keep the professionals who protect the flying public funded.
Open the government. Fund FAA operations. Fund TSA.
There is no excuse. There is no justification. There is no spin.
Do your jobs — so they can safely do theirs.
Sincerely - A furious American who refuses to accept “airport catastrophe” as a side-effect of political theater!
