As a constituent, I urge Governor Hochul to amend the state constitution so we can get out from under its requirement that districts can't be drawn for partisan reasons. It takes two years to change the NY state constitution! You must sign into and approve the constitutional amendment sponsored by Deputy Majority Leader Michael Gianaris to allow for a mid-decade redraw of congressional maps, targeting 2028 elections. New York must fight back against the federal dictatorship that is destroying our country. I don’t want to leave this horrific mess to my children and grandchildren.
