Reject Voter Suppression Bill - Protect Equal Suffrage Rights

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Houlahan

From: A constituent in Malvern, PA

April 9

The SAVE Act appears to impose overly burdensome requirements for voter registration that could disenfranchise many eligible voters, particularly marginalized groups like women, rural citizens, members of the military, students, low-income individuals, the elderly, and those who live far from registration sites. Requiring documentary proof of citizenship beyond what is currently mandated raises concerns about voter suppression and inequitable access to the democratic process. While ensuring election integrity is important, this bill seems to create unnecessary barriers to voting that undermine principles of universal suffrage and equal protection. I urge you to consider these negative impacts and reject this legislation in its current form.
