No On Congressional Ballroom Funding!

To: Sen. Marshall, Sen. Moran, Rep. Estes

From: A constituent in Bel Aire, KS

April 28

Please, no ballroom. The reasons being proffered by supporters are incomplete and unsound. The president doesn't need a ballroom for security when he frequents golf courses (including one of his own where a would-be assassin was found), or UFC fights, or rallies, or whatever other public places he might go. Further, it's a monstrosity against the White House. It's ugly. Even further, if Congress is dead set for this, then do it right! Force all acquisition laws and regulations to be followed. Do the required surveys. Do the required competitive contract letting. And find the recurring operation costs, maintenance, and upkeep. By the way, if the president has secured funding, use that funding to pay for the construction, not taxpayer money! Otherwise, it was all a scam to begin with, and he pockets that money. Also, where is all the money? Who's handling it? Who is getting the interest? How much has been donated? Has any? After all, the president is a pathological, continuous liar! I don't believe anything he says. Of your going to sort this, do it per the books. DO YOUR JOB!
