Appointing individuals without proper expertise or ethics undermines the functioning of government and erodes public trust. We must hold our leaders to the highest standards of competence and moral character. Confirm only candidates with proven records of accomplishment relevant to their prospective positions and exemplary personal conduct. The American people deserve Cabinet members and advisors who will faithfully execute the duties of their offices with integrity.
