I hope that you are planning to stand up to this administration for its illegal attack on another country, which not only breaks international laws but also blatantly ignores the Constitution by not seeking Congressional approval. To say it is shocking that the United States of America would behave in this manner—a very Putin-like action— is an understatement. To say it is shocking that the president now says the USA is going to “run” Venezuela is even more of an understatement. What happened to America First? We can’t afford to be “running” other countries. Everyone agrees that Maduro is a bad guy. But as the once-great leader of the free world, there is a global order that we are expected to not only follow, but lead. Please do not sit back and let this continue. Our Constitution gives Congress and the president equal power. Please use that power to put a stop to this recklessness that puts the entire world in a less safe position.
