Deny Putin entry; uphold human rights, international law

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Deluzio

From: A constituent in Pittsburgh, PA

August 9

Putin's travel risks emboldening his expansionist aims, which may include efforts to reclaim formerly Russian territories like Alaska. His presence on American soil, despite facing grave accusations of war crimes involving Ukrainian children, could be interpreted as enabling further aggression incompatible with international laws and human rights norms. Welcoming Putin amid credible allegations of facilitating heinous crimes against humanity appears to legitimize unacceptable violations and disregard for the rules-based global order. A resolute stance safeguarding legal principles and justice for all victims is imperative.
