An Open Letter

To: Rep. McBride, Sen. Blunt Rochester, Sen. Coons

From: A constituent in Lewes, DE

March 4

Subject: Protect Social Security—Enough is Enough I am writing to you once again because I am beyond frustrated. Social Security is not an entitlement—it is a program that American workers like myself have paid into our entire lives. It is the foundation of my income, and yet, it is under constant attack. Now, Elon Musk—who was never elected to anything—is cutting Social Security Administration employees, and I am hearing renewed threats of abolishing the system altogether. This is outrageous. Enough is enough. Stop letting billionaires and political extremists dictate the fate of the people who built this country. I worked for decades and contributed to this system, just like millions of other Americans. We deserve the benefits we earned without having to live in fear of them being taken away. I have written to you before about this and other urgent issues, yet the only response I have ever received was a canned reply from just one of you. This is unacceptable. I am a constituent, and I expect my elected officials to listen, respond, and most importantly—take action. I want a clear answer: Will you publicly and unequivocally commit to protecting Social Security from cuts, privatization, or elimination? Will you fight against these reckless attacks on the Social Security Administration and ensure it remains properly funded and staffed? I am not interested in generic responses or political doublespeak. I want a real answer and a real commitment. Millions of Americans are depending on you.
