Investigate Kristi Noem’s DHS Corruption

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Leander, TX

November 15

I am writing to demand that Congress immediately launch a full investigation into the growing cloud of corruption allegations surrounding Kristi Noem and the disturbing pattern of her associates receiving multimillion-dollar contracts connected to DHS-related work. The public is watching, and your silence is becoming complicity. For months, reports have detailed questionable contracts, sweetheart deals, and a complete lack of transparency in how certain vendors—many with personal or political ties to Noem—are landing enormous government-funded payouts. These contracts appear to bypass the standards, scrutiny, and competitive processes that every taxpayer-funded project is supposed to undergo. If these contracts were handed out based on relationships rather than merit, it is an abuse of power. If proper vetting was ignored, it is a threat to national security. And if Congress refuses to investigate, it becomes a failure of oversight. This situation demands answers: 1. Why are individuals close to Noem repeatedly landing multimillion-dollar contracts tied to DHS-related work without clear, documented competitive bidding? 2. How did these contracts pass through federal or state procurement systems with so little transparency? 3. Has DHS been influenced—directly or indirectly—by political relationships instead of legitimate qualifications? 4. What safeguards failed that allowed this pattern to develop in the first place? These are not minor concerns. This is a matter of potential corruption, misuse of taxpayer dollars, and compromised public trust. Every member of Congress swore an oath to uphold oversight and protect the American people from abuses of government authority. That responsibility does not disappear when the allegations involve someone politically powerful or connected. Failure to act only reinforces the growing belief that government corruption is tolerated as long as the right people benefit. The American public deserves the truth. We deserve accountability. And we deserve to know why multimillion-dollar contracts appear to be funneled to a select circle of Noem’s allies without adequate vetting or public justification. Congress must step in—now. No more delays, no more excuses, and no more turning a blind eye while taxpayer money is handed out like political favors.
