I am writing to ask you to stop the President from placing an illegal 50% tax on our citizens. His tariffs on Canadian goods are paid by us, not Canada. Tell the President to find another way to negotiate rather than raising taxes on the American people. We are sick and tired of paying for his failures. Smoot-Hawley showed us what tariffs can do, start a depression. It didn’t work then, it won’t work now.
