This Is the Moment for You to Decide Where You Stand.

I am writing to you because I am angry, frustrated, and deeply concerned about the direction this administration is taking our country. Once again, we are watching Russell Vought and this administration implement policies that reflect the broader agenda laid out in Project 2025. The latest example is OMB’s new directive pushing federal agencies toward a governmentwide http://Login.gov system, with agencies being given a two year timeline to transition most public facing services. While the administration presents this as modernization and efficiency, it is another example of Russell Vought and the people surrounding him exercising enormous power over the federal government with far too little accountability. This is not simply about http://Login.gov. It is about the larger pattern. Russell Vought, Scott Capor, and this administration continue to pursue an agenda that is fundamentally changing the federal government and weakening the institutions Americans depend upon. They are dismantling agencies, attacking federal employees, undermining the civil service, reducing the government’s ability to provide essential services, and implementing policies that were laid out long before this administration took office. At what point are you going to stand up and say enough? You were elected to represent your constituents, not to sit quietly while this administration tears apart the government and acts as though Congress has no role in providing oversight. If you disagree with what is happening, then I expect you to say so publicly. If you believe these actions are wrong, then I expect you to condemn them. And if you believe the Republican Party has any future beyond simply defending whatever this administration does, then you need to understand that silence is not leadership. You cannot continue to remain silent and expect voters to believe that you are willing to fight for them. People are watching. Your constituents are watching. Americans are watching. Project 2025 was not some abstract document that disappeared after the election. We are watching pieces of that agenda become government policy in real time. The Heritage Foundation and the architects of this movement were very clear about what they wanted to do, and now we are seeing the consequences. I am asking you directly: Will you stand up and condemn this administration’s continued implementation of the Project 2025 agenda? Will you condemn Russell Vought’s actions when you believe they are harmful to the country? Will you speak out against efforts to dismantle or weaken federal agencies and the career workforce that actually delivers services to the American people? And will you use your position in Congress to exercise meaningful oversight rather than simply allowing this administration to continue unchecked? You need to do something. If you think you are ever going to earn the trust of voters again, you need to stand up, speak out, and demonstrate that you are willing to put the country ahead of party loyalty. I am not asking you to agree with me on every political issue. I am asking you to do your job as a member of Congress. Our government belongs to the American people. It does not belong to Russell Vought. It does not belong to the Heritage Foundation. It does not belong to Project 2025. And it certainly does not belong to any one administration. Please stop being silent. Stand up. Speak out. Condemn these actions when they are wrong. And start using the power of your office to protect the institutions and people who serve this country. Because right now, this administration is doing enormous damage to our government and to the public’s trust in it. If you continue to remain silent, you are making a choice too. I sincerely hope you choose to stand up before it is too late.
