I write to you today with the burden of innocent lives heavy on my heart and the urgency of unspeakable human suffering echoing in my words. From the depths of my humble existence, I plead with you on behalf of those who are trapped in the unforgiving grip of violence, the powerless targets of conflict - the ordinary Palestinians whose lives are disrupted and ended in ways that no civilized society can justify or tolerate. The unsettling truth that lies at the heart of this tragedy is the active and substantial support provided by the United States to Israel, transforming the political machine into an instrument of destruction rather than a champion of peace. It is an undeniable reality that the U.S. funding of Israel is enabling it to wage a relentless war against civilians, wherein schools turn into rubble and hospitals transform into tombs. As an American who breathes the air of freedom, drinks from the fountain of justice, and thrives on the ideals of democracy, it is deeply troubling to see the well-armed arsenal of our dollars serving as catalysts for violence and lethal suppression. Funding or supplying arms, in this case, becomes complicity - an ugly stain on the fabric of international law and an accomplice to war-induced catastrophes that disfigure the face of humanity. Thus, I implore you to reconsider the gravity of this destructive alliance, to reassess the implications and impacts of our nation's funding and arming of the ongoing assault. The scream for peace in the Holy land must resonate in the halls of justice and the corridors of power. Let’s say 'No More' to war, 'No More' to tolerance of crimes against humanity, and 'No More' to trading compassion for cold ammunition. Let's wage peace instead of war, and let's be the embodiment of the values we take pride in, embracing dialogue, diplomacy, and understanding over alienation and annihilation. Let us be the change we wish to see, and let it start today.
