I am deeply alarmed that Pres. Trump is planning to nominate Dr. Heidi Overton as the FDA commissioner. She is a radical anti-abortion extremist. She celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade and called it a “huge victory.” She has repeatedly promoted false claims about the safety of medication abortion that deep research shows is safe. If Overton is confirmed and access to mifepristone is restricted, many millions of women will face difficulty getting an abortion. You must stop this woman’s confirmation. As my Senator, I expect you to do so!
