I’m asking New York’s state leaders to take a public stand for an i mmediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. New Yorkers are watching tens of thousands of civilians, including children, killed or displaced while food, water, and medical aid are blocked Even though foreign policy is federal, state leaders can use their voices, resolutions, and investments to demand peace and protect humanitarian values. Please issue a public statement calling for a ceasefire, urge our federal delegation to act, and review any state contracts that enable human-rights violations.
