The funding cuts to the CDC has lead to reduced safety protocols for food inspection and this is WHOLLY unacceptable. And this was done in JULY???? UNACCEPTABLE. As a resident of Georgia and a human who eats food – just like you & your family – we need safe foods. There’s no other way around it. This is a nonpartisan issue because ANY and EVERYONE is at risk of contracting any number of the 8 bacteria they are supposed to be checking for. There is no way to ensure the safety of food for one person or another, regardless of party. I am urging you to push on the rest of your party AND work across the aisle to get this fixed. This is a non-negotiable. Nobody can budge on this. I anticipate AND EXPECT you to act on this.
