“Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wra th.” Proverbs 29:8 President Russell M. Nelson quoted this scripture in 2002. He goes on to discuss the golden rule (do unto others as ye would have them do unto you.) He says, "the Golden Rule encompasses the moral code of the kingdom of God. It forbids interference by one with the rights of another. It is equally binding upon nations, associations, and individuals." To me, those two quotes telll us and important thing: we as a nation are morally bound to care for ALL men, to turn away wrath, and to protect all human rights. These things are NOT happening in Minnesota and other places where ICE is at work. All human life is sacred, no matter where they were born. ..or even what laws they have been accused of breaking. If you insist on enforcing immigration, do so with humanity. With decency. With respect. You don't have to take my word for it. Listen to prophets from now and the last 2000+ years. Reign in the terror ICE is wreaking. Create oversight. Hold people accountable. Follow the golden rule. Please.
