Flock surveillance license plate reader cameras are recording the movements of every driver who passes them with no warrant, no suspicion and no consent. This is NOT "Nebraska Nice."
These cameras do not just capture a plate number. They log the time, location, direction of travel, and physical attributes of the vehicle. That data builds a detailed map of where I go, when I go, and how often. How is that protecting our FREEDOM?! Law enforcement can query it with a few clicks, and the data is routinely shared across agency networks with little to no oversight.
I have committed no crime nor been accused of one, and I should not be in a searchable government surveillance database simply for driving down a public road.
I am asking you to introduce or co-sponsor legislation BANNING these cameras outright. Midwesterners don't want the infringement of hyperactive, camera-happy, power-trippers on the loose.
