I have asked when you will call for hearings on the Iran War. Having seen SECDEF and Gen Caine testify; I have NO confidence in SECDEF in performance of his duties. I realize you are not on the Senate Appropriations committee but you should be monitoring the competence of Hegseth.
As stated in the House, the military MUST provide a comprehensive accounting of LOSS including aircraft, equipment, used munitions, damage to American basis, cost for troops in the region and so on. A total of 228 U.S. structures or pieces of equipment have been damaged or destroyed including aircraft, hangars, barracks, fuel depots, radar and air defense equipment. I have ask you to estimate this cost in previous communication and you have IGNORED me --- Perhaps now that other members of congress are asking, you will get interested. This War of yours must be near 100 BILLION dollars in total cost, including the precious loss of life.
The SECDEC is not smart enough to do this job, he’s way out of his league. He thinks the War is ‘terminated’ but now your administration says the ceasefire is on ‘life support’.
WHAT is the status of this WAR and WHAT exactly is the 1.5 TRILLION needed for?
I WANT TO KNOW.
