I strongly urge the consideration of a wealth tax to generate revenue and ensure a more equitable distribution of the tax burden. Relying solely on regressive taxes like sales tax places an undue financial strain on lower and middle-income individuals. A modest tax on extreme wealth would help fund vital public services without overburdening the vast majority of citizens. As income inequality continues to widen, it is imperative that we implement progressive taxation policies to create a fairer system for all.
