US Government Agency of Global Media.

I received a letter from Senator Lankford that I want to address. It is filled with information that in fact are concerning. One statement states that the US Government office of Global media spent 956 million dollars showcasing government scandals and weaknesses! Since the US Agency is given money authorized by Congress then what you are suggesting then is that DOGE should go investigate Congress itself since that is who authorized money to this agency. As for this agency showcasing scandals and weaknesses of the United States, this is what the agency’s mission actually is:
UNTRUTH USAGM programs are just propaganda
No. The mission of USAGM and its networks is to broadcast accurate, balanced, and comprehensive news and information to an international audience. The mission to promote freedom and democracy is achieved through journalistic integrity and through the dissemination of factual news and information to an audience that typically does not have access to a free press. USAGM broadcasters know that their effectiveness is based on their credibility and that their listeners are not interested in propaganda.

When disinformation is cited to constituents regarding fraud, waste and abuse, it is not only disheartening, it is appalling!
I hope for future reference that my concerns or others concerns are not replied to with disinformation. It’s insulting to constituents but also to the very body of Congress you work for since Congress in fact allocated funds to this agency for purposes that have nothing at all to do with reporting US scandals and weaknesses!
