Protect college accessibility and affordability for all students

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Van Duyne

From: A verified voter in Richardson, TX

April 30

The proposed changes to the college loan process threaten to put higher education out of reach not just for low-income students, but also middle-class families who have been planning and saving for their children's college education. As the parent of graduating high school seniors, I am deeply concerned that this bill could make the dream of college unattainable for my own kids and many others whose families depend on access to federal student loans. We should be working to improve college affordability and access for all students, not creating new barriers that will prevent many from being able to pursue higher education. I urge you to reconsider these harmful proposed changes.
