Stop critical defense technology from reaching Russia

To: Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray, Rep. DelBene

From: A constituent in Kirkland, WA

June 15

In Ukraine today, we have to focus on reducing Russia’s capacity to wage the war. The most critical thing for the US to do now in support of Ukraine is to focus on preventing purchase of critical electronic components to circumvent sanctions. This is possible because it was already done during the Cold War. By allowing Russia to purchase such components, America is not only creating threats to Ukraine today, but also threats to itself tomorrow. Please do whatever you can to insure critical defense technology is not allowed to make its way to Russia and other adversaries of the US. p.s. Of course Ukraine also needs ammunition for Patriot air defense systems but it seems we blew most of that stockpile in a pointless war with Iran.
