Fight for Texans, not the DC elite!

To: Lt. Gov. Patrick, Gov. Abbott, Rep. Harris Davila, Sen. Schwertner

From: A constituent in Leander, TX

August 7

As a proud Texas resident, I urge you to vote NO on SB4. Texas is home to one of the largest Black populations in the country and the second-largest Latino population. Instead of ensuring fair and equal representation, SB4 is designed to divide our communities and allow politicians in Austin to handpick their voters—rather than letting the people choose their representatives. This is a direct assault on our democracy and a clear violation of the Constitution. When lawmakers manipulate district maps for political gain, they silence working-class Texans and weaken the voices of those who power this state—educators, healthcare workers, farmers, and families from every walk of life. SB4 isn’t just bad policy—it’s an insult to the very people who keep Texas running. It prioritizes political control over the constitutional rights of Texans. You took an oath to uphold the Constitution. That means standing against voter suppression in all its forms—including gerrymandering. Stand with the people of Texas—not the power brokers in D.C. Do the right thing. Vote NO on SB4.
