**Oppose H.R. 7661 and Support the Right to Read Act** Vote no on H.R. 7661. This bill is a federal power grab disguised as child protection, and it opens the door to nationwide book banning. Its real effect is to target the stories of marginalized communities and give the government authority over what ideas Americans are allowed to read. That is a direct assault on the First Amendment, and I won't pretend otherwise. Co-sponsor H.R. 6440, the Right to Read Act, and H.R. 7691, the Fight Book Bans Act instead. These bills invest in education and student literacy — that is how you actually protect children. Censorship doesn't make kids safer; it makes them less informed and deepens the divisions already tearing this country apart. Stand on the right side of this.
