I'm writing to just have some assurance that Illinois will still be safe for transgender people. With so many states like Kansas, Iowa, and West Virginia rapidly stripping away trans rights I'm scared that one day Illinois could be next. Please promise me this state will always be safe. I want to be able to one day get gender affirming care. I want to be openly proud about being genderfluid. I don't want to be arrested or killed for not being cis. With so many democrats being silent about LGBT I need to hear someone stand up for us. Please... please tell me I'm safe in Illinois.
