An Open Letter

Every day I wake up to an extreme bleak picture of watching my country descend into kleptocracy and it being denied and allowed to happen by Congress. It is obvious Musk and Vought at al are following Yarvin and Thiel’s philosophy a mix of Project 2025 and Yarvin’s to install an autocratic CEO leader and get rid of all checks and balances so they can enrich themselves while the rest of us suffer. J D Vance was hand picked and financed for this mission and Elon is helping carry it out. Even 1 billion is more than anyone needs in a lifetime. They are currently showing that they will illegally award themselves contracts to enrich themselves. Alex Karp Palantir CEO announced record sales because their technology is used to support ICE. Palantir gets two-thirds of its revenue from government contracts and focused on embedding itself with state operations. He follows Thiel and Yarvin’s philosophy. The president cannot legally shut down agencies established by Congress and citizens cannot access classified information without authorization. Civil servants should not be punished for following the law. The conflict of interest at heart of Musk’s position as DOGE director strikes at basic principals of constitutional governance. The conflict of interest laws that are being flouted establish bright lines between public and private gain. 18 U.S.C 208 is a criminal statute that prevents federal employees from engaging in matters that affect their financial interests. Federal employees all have clear training on this. Every time Musk makes decisions that affect his companies like SpaceX, Tesla, Neurolink and his AI company and awards himself contracts he is violating this. He stopped the investigations of his companies another obvious flouting of the law. We are watching private interests seize control of government functions and budgets and functions established by Congress while pretending laws that exist to prevent that do not apply. We must stop pretending this is normal. No amount of technical innovation or fosse promises of efficiency can justify dismantling the very foundations of constitutional governance and the democratic safeguards.
