An Open Letter

To: Sen. Paul, Sen. McConnell

From: A verified voter in Elizabethtown, KY

February 12

I write again to ask you to vote NO on the SAVE Act. Everyone believes in safe elections, however a glib response that ignores the suppression of married women's vote is callous. The requirement that current id match birth name is the height of male privelege. The patriarchal custom of taking the husband's last name is now being used against us. I attended Paul's latest online Town Hall to be disappointed that our objections to these requirements were so blatantly not addressed. You are afraid of women's votes, that is obvious. SO basically you are soooo concerned with some vague state using driver license ID to register to vote, You don't care if you suppress 50% of the populations' vote. My passport is due for renewal and now I fear that process will be overwhelmed by people seeking new passports. Your unconstitutional poll tax by another name WILL SUPPRESS my vote. But I guess people who cant win on their policies and ideas, gotta skew the election in some way. YOU should be ashamed. WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE WAS WON YEARS AGO. Now you are crapping on all of us by your cavalier attitude.
