An Open Letter

I voted for you because you promised to be a fighter for the everyday people of Pennsylvania, not a photo op for the very forces trying to dismantle our democracy.
Seeing your presence around the Republican National Convention was an absolute gut punch to the coalition that fought like hell to send you to Washington. Donald Trump’s agenda stripped millions of women of their bodily sovereignty, terrorized immigrant communities, and openly attacked human rights. By showing up and offering your platform to that orbit, you aren't demonstrating independence—you are handing a desperate, authoritarian movement the veneer of bipartisanship and legitimacy it craves.
Bipartisanship is not built by laundering the reputation of an administration that attempted to overturn our elections and bragged about decimating fundamental liberties. We did not elect you to play media games or give cover to an agenda built on retribution and grievance. We elected you to hold the line. We elected you to stand up for our rights, our communities, and our future—not to kiss the ring of an aspiring dictator.
Your constituents are watching. We remember who put you in that seat, and it wasn’t the delegates at the RNC. It’s time to stop the cynical posturing and start defending the people whose lives are directly endangered by the extremism you’re helping normalize. Stand up for us, or don't expect us to stand with you.
