I am writing today to thank you for leaving the judicial committee meeting after Sen. Grassley broke committee rules by refusing to hold a vote on whether to hold a hearing with a whistleblower before you were to vote to advance the nomination of Emil Bove. Sen. Booker's words in the meeting were very much appreciated - debate should not be stifled when considering anyone for a lifetime federal appeals court seat. By leaving the meeting in unison the Democratic senators sent a strong message that this rule-breaking is not appropriate or acceptable. Thank you for your work in representing the citizens of Delaware.
