Support + Expand the People’s PROTECT Act! mmigrant communities from ICE,
I am concerned that the bill doesn E.
While the PROTECT Act includes important steps toward protecting I ’t go far enough to truly protect our immigrant communities from IC
I am writing to urge your support in filing the Stronger Senate Version of the PROTECT Act based on three key priorities of grassroots immigration groups. E by ending Massachusetts' only existing 287(g) program, prohibitin g information sharing with ICE, and ending "fusion centers." These Include:
• Ending Law Enforcement Collaboration with IC
• Mandate universal access to Virtual court proceedings.
• Reject the House’s reduction of provisions intended to make U a nd T visa certification more accessible. om aging out,
and
-requiring agencies to respond to certification agencies eligible to certify,
-protecting qualifying dependents fr
Restore the PROTECT Act’s original draft language
-expanding the requests within 30 days.
It is important to me that we take the strongest possible action in protecting our immigrant neighbors!
