Use this moment: oversight, accountability, and defending trans rights
To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper
From: A verified voter in Centennial, CO
November 4
I am a constituent from Centennial, and I am writing energized by Tuesday's election results. Voters delivered a clear message, and I am asking you to act on it with urgency.
First, accountability. I want aggressive, sustained oversight of the Trump administration: public hearings, subpoenas, document demands, and no deference. I also urge you to support impeachment proceedings against Secretary Hegseth, Secretary Kennedy, and OMB Director Vought, and to commit now to treating any Senate trial with full seriousness.
Second, please do not spend this mandate on reaching across the aisle for its own sake. Good-faith bipartisanship has not been returned, and voters did not send Democrats to Washington to negotiate against themselves. Hold the line, use every procedural tool available, and make the opposition earn each compromise.
Third, defend transgender kids and the rights of transgender Americans, loudly and without hedging. I want you to vote against anti-trans legislation, push back publicly on attacks from this administration, and make clear that protecting these families is a priority, not a talking point.
I am proud of this win and I want to see it turned into real accountability. Please reply with where you stand on each of these three points.
